The backdrop for this event is a surge in cybercriminal activity across Southeast Asia amid rapid digitalization. According to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), annual online fraud losses in the region could reach approximately $37 billion, with an estimated 63% of Southeast Asian adults having experienced some form of online fraud. The seminar was held from 8:00 to 12:00 at Crowne Plaza Vientiane by IHG, Vientiane, Laos.

Through this seminar, the three GMO Internet Group companies aim to strengthen security measures for organizations managing critical infrastructure, improve detection and defense capabilities against sophisticated cyberattacks, and reinforce protections against online fraud that exploits the brands of government agencies and financial institutions.
